‘There are many ways to serve’ – Mahama tells angry NDC supporters

President John Dramani Mahama, during the swearing-in of his second batch of ministers, called on NDC members and all Ghanaians to contribute to national development in ways beyond ministerial appointments.

His remarks follow discontent within the party, particularly in Bole-Bamboi and Effutu, where supporters expressed frustration over the omission of certain individuals from the list.

President Mahama explained that the lean government approach, necessitated by current economic challenges, means some qualified individuals may not hold ministerial positions but can still contribute to the nation in other capacities.

He emphasized the importance of efficiency and prudent resource management.

The newly sworn-in ministers include Abla Dzifa Gomashie, George Opare Addo, Emelia Arthur, and others, covering key sectors like tourism, youth, and fisheries.
