There are serious flaws in our system - Fritz Baffour

Veteran journalist Fritz Baffour has raised concerns about Ghana's systems. He highlighted significant flaws amid allegations against Kwabena Adu-Boahene. Adu-Boahene is accused of embezzling funds from the National Signals Bureau.

On JoyNews' AM Show, Baffour discussed the implications of this incident. He stated that it reveals weaknesses in Ghana's financial oversight and accountability.

Baffour said, "This scandal shows flaws in our system." He added, "If someone can withdraw GHȼ7 million, it should raise red flags." He emphasized that monitoring authorities must address such issues.

He pointed out broader systemic problems within the country's institutions. There are inadequate checks and balances allowing mismanagement to go unnoticed.

"Our institutions are not doing their work," he lamented. Baffour urged the government to hold public officials accountable. This is especially important for those managing state resources.
