Assin South MP, Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, has lashed out at what he describes as an attempt by the NDC government to suppress opposition voices through intimidation.
This follows a reported raid by National Investigations Bureau operatives at his residence on April 9—a move he believes was politically motivated.
The operation was blocked by NPP members who stormed the scene in protest. Expressing gratitude to former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for visiting his home in solidarity, Fordjour reaffirmed his resolve not to be silenced.
“They can’t gag us,” he declared in a post on X, accusing the government of targeting lawmakers exercising their oversight duties.
The incident adds to growing fears over political interference and harassment of opposition figures ahead of the December elections.
