Kwame Asare-Obeng, known as A-Plus, is the MP for Gomoa Central. He has accused the former NPP administration of trying to silence him. They allegedly offered him a government job to curb his criticism.
A-Plus spoke about this on Channel One TV on May 4. He said the position involved oil lifting at BOST.
He stated, “The problem with the NPP is that they gave me a job, expecting that now that you are eating, don’t talk.” He added that he enjoys speaking more than eating.
He noted that his critiques became unwelcome soon after starting the job. “One or two months into the business, they said I was talking too much,” he explained. His appointment was revoked after just one month of pay.
Despite this setback, A-Plus remains determined. “They expected that once I had the position, I would keep quiet,” he said. “But I won’t stop speaking out just because I have a job.”
