'They took sand from my footprints and my pictures for rituals but my father intervened' – Adwoa Safo

Former Dome-Kwabenya Member of Parliament, Sarah Adwoa Safo, has opened up about spiritual attacks she allegedly faced during her political career, revealing that attempts to harm her using rituals were thwarted by the spiritual power of her father, Apostle Safo Kantanka.

In a video circulating on social media, Adwoa Safo recounted how some individuals took her photograph and sand from her footprints to perform rituals against her during her first parliamentary campaign.

“During my first parliamentary election contest, individuals used my picture and sand from my footprints in a ritual. Whenever they tried to call out my spirit to harm me, my father would appear to protect me,” she explained.

She said those involved were stunned when their efforts failed, with one ritualist even mistaking her photo for that of a man and warning the perpetrators never to mention her name again.

Adwoa Safo expressed immense gratitude to her father for what she described as divine protection throughout her political journey.

Since her defeat in the 2024 elections, Adwoa Safo has been more vocal about her political experiences and inner workings of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), a move that has reportedly stirred tension between her and some party members.
