They were silent in power, now complaining under Mahama – A Plus slams NPP for double standards

In a recent interview with Adom FM, Ghanaian musician A Plus shared his frustrations. He criticized the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for their behavior after losing power.

A Plus noted that the NPP is now vocal against President John Dramani Mahama. This is a stark contrast to their silence while in office.

He praised Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, for his leadership. A Plus highlighted how the king has maintained peace and unity in the Ashanti Kingdom.

He acknowledged Otumfuo's wisdom during Akufo-Addo’s presidency. The king was careful with his public statements about government policies like Free SHS.

"I am not an Ashanti, but I respect the Asantehene," A Plus said. "God bless him for keeping the kingdom united."

However, he expressed strong discontent with the NPP's current actions under Mahama. "When the NPP was in power, Ghanaians could not speak up," he stated.

"Now that Mahama is president, NPP supporters are complaining everywhere," A Plus added. He urged Ghanaians not to take the NPP seriously.

The musician criticized their complaints after losing power. "Just months after leaving office, they have found their voices," he said.

He pointed out that even former supporters of the NPP face backlash when speaking out.

A Plus contrasted how both parties handle criticism. Under NPP rule, individuals like Bullgod were arrested for speaking against them.

"John Mahama investigates allegations made against him," he explained. "But Bullgod faced arrest for criticizing the NPP."

A Plus expressed anger at the NPP's conduct since losing power. "You left recently and act as if you own this country," he concluded.
