A viral video on social media shows the aftermath of a break-in. This incident occurred at Di Woho Nkomo, a popular chop bar in Bibiani, Western North Region. Thieves stole various food items and utensils during the heist.
Di Woho Nkomo is known as one of the best chop bars in the area. Criminals targeted this eatery for its food rather than cash.
According to Oyerepa, the thieves struck late at night. They took a bowl of grasscutter meat, crates of eggs, goat meat, gallons of cooking oil, and kitchen utensils.
“They didn’t touch money or electronics — only food,” said a local reporter. The thieves seemed focused solely on stealing food and meat.
The owner of the chop bar chose to remain anonymous. She told Oyerepa that this was not the first theft at her establishment. Despite repeated incidents, she has not reported them to police.
She expressed doubt that any action would be taken. “I’ve stopped wasting time reporting. Nothing changes,” she said.
In response to this latest theft, she plans to enforce new rules. Customers will no longer be allowed to linger after meals while watching television.
This change aims to reduce opportunities for potential thieves to observe the restaurant.
The video and story have sparked mixed reactions online. Many people are concerned about rising petty crimes in their community. Others sympathized with the chop bar operator and urged authorities to take these thefts seriously.
