Oliver Barker-Vormawor, a legal practitioner and activist, has warned the NDC. He is concerned about the recent arrest of Alfred Ababio Kumi, known as Adenta Kumi.
Vormawor believes the NDC is being distracted by the NPP's tactics. He stated that unnecessary propaganda could lead to losing power. If the government tries to show where power lies, it may backfire.
In a post on X, Vormawor expressed his frustration. He said this is not the first time he has warned the NDC about overzealous policing. He cautioned against sending many security officers for minor issues.
Vormawor emphasized that such actions could lead to serious consequences. He mentioned that similar mistakes contributed to the NPP's downfall.
He urged the government to focus on real issues instead of chasing trivial matters. Vormawor criticized how party supporters use his past experiences as justification for these arrests.
He pointed out that previous arrests did not yield positive results. The first person arrested was not apprehended properly, and Kumi was released quickly afterward.
Vormawor concluded by highlighting that his own persecution should serve as a warning against overzealous policing.
