Albert Nat Hyde, known as Bongo Ideas, reacted to a video. The video shows Sammy Gyamfi, the Acting CEO of the Ghana Gold Board, gifting money to Nana Agradaa. Nana Agradaa is a fetish priestess turned pastor.
Bongo Ideas called Gyamfi's actions unacceptable. He warned Gyamfi and other appointees not to harm President John Dramani Mahama's reputation.
He emphasized that Nana Agradaa should stay away from the government. In a post on X, he stated, “This is unacceptable! Sammy Gyamfi and the appointees should not erode goodwill for MAHAMA with their indiscretions.” He added that it was a warning.
The viral video shows Gyamfi next to his white Range Rover with Nana Agradaa. After talking briefly, he sat in his car and counted several US dollar bills. Nana Agradaa insisted he give her all the money instead of just some.
She took all the cash from him and flaunted it to bystanders, saying, “I have taken dollars from Sammy Gyamfi.” The video sparked controversy among Ghanaians.
Some criticized Gyamfi on social media. One user said, “Herh @SammyGyamfi_don’t be stupid ok... You should be ashamed.” Another questioned why he paid her in public.
One user remarked that they would not tolerate such behavior from any politician. They expressed concern about how this reflects on leadership. Another person expressed disappointment in Gyamfi for acting publicly while people are struggling.
They asked what contribution Agradaa made toward their election victory.
