The Minister of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Hon. Samuel Nartey George, has denied claims on social media. These claims suggest he received a Lexus vehicle as a gift. This would violate a directive from former President John Dramani Mahama.
Through his lawyers at Korsah & Ackah @ Law, Sam George called the allegations defamatory. He warned P.K. Sarpong, also known as Whispers, to stop spreading falsehoods.
In a letter dated May 20, 2025, the law firm stated that the claims are false. They said the statement is “categorically false.” The letter emphasized that these allegations aim to damage the Minister's reputation.
The lawyers noted that Sarpong knows his publication is untrue. Despite this knowledge, he shared misinformation publicly. They described this behavior as defamatory and harmful.
The Minister demands that Sarpong remove the post from Facebook immediately. He also wants a public retraction and an apology within seven days.
If Sarpong does not comply, the letter warns of legal action. This could include a defamation lawsuit without further notice.
