Ebenezer Chaka Tsaqa, Daniel Frimpong, and Richmond Eshun, accused of defrauding Kofi Amankwaa, owner of Amist Classic Hotel, of GH¢70,000, have pleaded not guilty before the Dansoman Circuit Court.
The trio, including two event planners and a musician, are charged with conspiracy to commit a crime and defrauding by false pretenses after failing to secure dancehall artist Stonebwoy for an event.
In November 2024, the accused promised to arrange Stonebwoy’s performance for the hotel’s event, collecting an initial deposit of GH¢50,000 and a subsequent GH¢20,000.
However, they did not deliver the artist, leading to the complaint and their arrest in December.
The court granted each accused bail of GH¢80,000, with conditions, and adjourned the case for a Case Management Conference on March 24, 2025.
