Three unions threaten to embark on strike August 9

Three unions in Ghana—SSA-UoG, FUSSAG, and TEWU-TUC—threaten to strike on August 9, 2024, if the Ministry of Finance doesn't authorize payment of agreed allowances by August 8.

They demand a letter to release Vehicle Maintenance Allowance and other payments.

The unions accuse the government of stalling and using unfair tactics.

Despite multiple engagements, the Ministry hasn't issued the necessary authorization, affecting some university staff payments.
