Tiktoker sues former minister Nana Ama Dokua for GH¢20m over circulation of nude video

Tina Mensah, a Ghanaian influencer in Germany, has filed a defamation suit. She is seeking GH¢20 million in damages. The case is at the Accra High Court.

Mensah accuses Abigail Kwarteng of filming her nude without consent. This incident happened during a visit to Kwarteng's home in Kumasi in February 2025.

On February 18, while bathing, Kwarteng accused Mensah of fraud. Shocked by this claim, Mensah rushed out unclothed. Kwarteng secretly recorded her and sent the video to Nana Ama Dokua Asiamah-Adjei.

Asiamah-Adjei is named as the second defendant and is Kwarteng’s foster mother. The video and photos later appeared on social media platforms like TikTok and Facebook.

Mensah claims this led to public ridicule and damaged her reputation. She seeks a court declaration that the publication is defamatory. Additionally, she wants both defendants to apologize and pay damages.

The incident has severely impacted her personal and professional life. Several companies have ended contracts with her due to the scandal. She also states that it caused her engagement to break down.

The Suntreso Police have been informed about the situation. Kwarteng reportedly admitted to recording and sharing the video. She was taken to the Kwaadaso Circuit Court and remanded for further proceedings.

The police are also investigating Asiamah-Adjei, who has been invited for questioning as well.
