Former Education Minister Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum has called on political leaders to move away from divisive, reactionary politics he describes as “flash and burn.”

Speaking at a TEKTALK event at KNUST, he emphasized the need for bipartisan collaboration in advancing national development.

Dr. Adutwum criticized the tendency of some politicians to oppose good policies just to gain political points, citing the E-block schools as a project that deserves support despite differing views.

He proposed inclusive commissions with both ruling and opposition representatives to guide key national decisions.

Reflecting on his own efforts to promote STEM and sponsor students into engineering and medicine, he stressed that politics should serve the people.

Entertainment figure Baba Sadiq also highlighted politics as the bedrock for building a thriving economy and creative industry.
