Mr. Appiah-Kubi Baidoo has resigned from the New Patriotic Party (NPP). He was a former Parliamentary Candidate for the Sefwi Akontombra Constituency in the Western North Region.
In his resignation statement, he cited maltreatment and neglect as reasons for leaving. He expressed disappointment over being sidelined despite his contributions to the party.
"I have endured years of maltreatment and lack of recognition," he said. "After deep reflection, I believe it is time to part ways."
Mr. Baidoo previously contested for the Sefwi Akontombra seat on the NPP's ticket. He played a key role in mobilizing grassroots support in the area.
His departure may impact the party's efforts in the Western North Region as the 2028 elections approach. He has not announced his next political move yet.
Party officials in the region have not publicly responded to his resignation.
