Two jurors have stepped down from the trial of 28-year-old architect Richard Appiah, who is facing charges for the murder of two children in Abesim, Bono Region.

During today’s hearing (February 11, 2025), Justice Ruby Aryeetey announced that the jury foreman had submitted a formal resignation letter, though its contents were not disclosed.

Another juror also requested to be replaced but was instructed to submit an official letter.

The court adjourned the case to March 27, 2025. Appiah was arrested in August 2021 after police found dismembered bodies in his home and intestines on a nearby cocoa farm.

Investigators also retrieved bloodstained machetes, linking him to the gruesome killings.
