The Upper West Regional Police Command has secured convictions for two men. They were involved in several robberies in Wa Municipality.
Abdulai Ibrahim, known as Baba, is 34 years old. He worked as a driver’s mate. Abdulai Kipo, a 36-year-old butcher, was also convicted.
The Wa Circuit Court sentenced Ibrahim to 28 years in prison. Kipo received an 18-year sentence. Both faced charges of conspiracy and multiple robberies.
Police reported that the men committed armed attacks in various areas. These areas included Napogbakole, Danko, SSNIT, and Konta. Their arrests followed thorough investigations by the Regional Police Intelligence Directorate.
The police gathered detailed evidence to support the prosecution. The Upper West Regional Police Command expressed satisfaction with the court's decision.
