Two suspects arrested in Asankragua aver attempted robbery

Two suspects are in custody with the Asankragua police. They are helping with an attempted robbery investigation.

The suspects are Mohammed Abdul-Salam, 28, and Karim Yakubu, 42. Police found them hiding in a bush along a road.

According to a police press release, the suspects tried to escape. They noticed a police patrol team nearby and fled.

Officers chased them to an abandoned mining site. The suspects jumped into a muddy pit to avoid capture.

Police managed to rescue them from the pit and arrested them. During the arrest, officers found a shotgun and three AAA cartridges. They also recovered a Nokia keypad mobile phone.
