The Barbarossa Woodwind Quintet from the United States Army Europe Band performed at Ringway Estate Basic School in Osu.
Their lively show delighted students and staff.
This performance was part of a cultural exchange program during the Africa Land Forces Summit 2025 in Accra.
The event was organized by the U.S. Embassy and Osu Mantse, Notse Nii Nortey Owuo IV.
It provided a unique chance for attendees to enjoy various musical genres from talented musicians.
The quintet showcased classical, contemporary, and American folk tunes.
They transformed the school compound into a vibrant space for cultural appreciation.
They also played popular theme songs from pop culture.
After the performance, Staff Sgt. Osvaldo Corea spoke about its importance.
He emphasized that cultural engagement strengthens ties between Ghana and the US.
Corea said, "We love to share music with everyone we meet."
He believes music positively impacts education and emotional well-being.
Laneice Brooker, Cultural Affairs Attaché for the US Embassy, also attended.
She noted that the quintet visited Ghana ahead of the summit this week.
Brooker explained that this visit promotes military cooperation between the US and Ghana.
She expressed excitement about having the quintet in Ghana to build relationships through music.
"Music connects us," she said, "even across different languages and cultures."
She acknowledged Ghana's rich musical heritage and tradition.
