UE/R: Police hunt suspect after two officers are shot dead in Binduri

The Ghana Police Service is searching for armed robbers. These robbers shot and killed two police officers in Binduri. The incident happened in Poyamirea, near Binduri.

The officers were in plain clothes and riding a private motorbike. They were ambushed while traveling from Bongo to Binduri. Preliminary investigations show the attackers opened fire on them.

The robbers stole their motorbike before fleeing the scene. Authorities have not released the names of the deceased officers yet. This is to ensure proper notification of their families.

The Public Affairs Directorate of the Ghana Police Service issued a statement. They extended condolences to the families of the victims. The police assured the public that swift action will be taken.
