UNFPA, Qatar Charity, GHS cut sod for Yendi Hospital Fistula Holding Home construction

Qatar Charity Ghana has partnered with the Ghana Health Service (GHS) and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). They have begun construction of a modern Fistula Holding Home. This facility is located at the Yendi Government Hospital in the Northern Region.

Once completed, it will be a specialized center for obstetric fistula treatment. This condition significantly affects women's health in the Northern Region.

Mr. Ben Appiagyei from the Yendi Government Hospital urged stakeholders to support the project. He emphasized that their contributions are vital for its success.

Alhaji Alhassan Sulemana Gonje, Board Chairman of Yendi Government Hospital, agreed. He noted that this project is timely and essential. The demand for fistula care among women in the area is increasing.
