The University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), has refuted claims of legal action halting its recent investiture ceremony.

In a December 27 letter signed by Registrar Lorraine B. Gyan, the institution clarified that no formal writ or interlocutory injunction had been served regarding allegations by Rashid Ibrahim.

UPSA’s legal team advised that media reports alone could not hinder the planned ceremony.

The event proceeded as scheduled, with the Deputy Minister of Education swearing in the new Vice-Chancellor in compliance with the UPSA Act.

The university expressed its commitment to due process and operational integrity while addressing the Chancellor’s absence from the ceremony.

Public interest in the case has grown, with calls for clarity on the legal and administrative concerns.
