Unifying spirit moved Bawumia to invite former rivals – Kodua

Justin Frimpong Kodua, the General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), praised Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. He commended Dr. Bawumia for showing strong leadership and unity in the party. Dr. Bawumia invited his former competitors to join him on the NPP’s Thank You Tour.

This invitation was made during an address to supporters in Accra on April 23. The tour is part of preparations for the upcoming 2024 general elections.

During a stop in Takoradi on April 27, Mr. Kodua emphasized Dr. Bawumia’s inclusive approach. He noted that this reflects a commitment to party cohesion, which is crucial for success in 2024.

Mr. Kodua stated, “It is the unifying character of Dr Bawumia that has made it possible for him to invite all those he contested against.” He stressed that working together is essential for rebuilding the party's strength.

He urged all members to support Dr. Bawumia in securing victory in the elections. Mr. Kodua called on grassroots and stakeholders to be inspired by their leaders' unity.

“This is the spirit we need to move forward,” he said. “Unity is our strength, and with it, the NPP will be unstoppable.”
