Unity is possible, but we’ll call out those who sabotage it — Boakye Antwi

During a live discussion on Metro TV, Eugene Boakye Antwi expressed concern about divisions within the NPP. He stressed that true unity requires commitment from all factions.

The host mentioned Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s efforts to unite the party. Some supporters, like Jopone, have left unity campaigns due to insecurity. Others, such as Kjo Safuku, continue to support these efforts.

Boakye Antwi was asked if the party is genuinely committed to unity. He replied, “Unity is possible under the current structure.” He added that those unwilling to unite will be identified later. “Nobody in the party is scared of anyone,” he stated.

He discussed the temporary nature of political power. He shared his experience of losing his parliamentary seat: “Power is transient. Five months ago, I was MP for Subin; today, I am a former MP.” Despite this change, he remains a loyal party member. He believes leadership requires balance, fairness, and firmness.

When asked about leaders blocking unity, he said it’s important to engage them in discussions. “You must embrace everybody as leaders,” he emphasized. “It is your duty.”
