Woman Dies After Lightning Strike in Ho

A 35-year-old woman died after being struck by lightning. The incident occurred in Adzimakorfe, a suburb of Ho, Volta Region. It happened around 6 PM near her home.

The victim was identified as Selina Kuma Kle. She sold kenkey at the Ho Bankoe Sorkode Station. A resident named Christopher Ametefe witnessed the event while buying a lottery ticket.

Ametefe said he left to correct a mistake with his lotto numbers. Moments later, strong thunder and lightning struck, killing Selina instantly. He expressed shock over what happened.

A family member received news of the tragedy from her sister-in-law. She rushed to the scene and confirmed Selina's death.
