Ing Francis Lamptey is the Volta Regional Chief Manager of Ghana Water Company Ltd. He has urged all workers in Ghana to show integrity and honesty. He emphasized the importance of patriotism in their daily tasks.
Lamptey encouraged both private and government employees to face challenges. He believes that hard work can lead to positive change and development. Every worker should seek self-development through education, he added.
He spoke during an interview with Class News after receiving an award. This recognition came during the 2025 National Workers Day celebration in Accra. The Public Utility Workers Union (PUWU) honored him for his dedication and hard work.
The award was presented by President John Dramani Mahama at the May Day celebration. The citation praised Lamptey's contributions as a former senior staff union chairman. It was signed by Mr. Joshua Ansah, Secretary General of TUC.
Lamptey expressed surprise at receiving national recognition for his efforts. He stated that integrity, honesty, and dedication guide his work. "These virtues have earned me this recognition," he said.
He reflected on how unexpected it was to receive an award from the President. "It was the grace of God," he noted, sharing his family's joy about the honor.
Lamptey reminded others that people observe their actions at work. He thanked his staff for their commitment and support throughout his career. He assured that Ghana Water Company Limited is dedicated to providing water supply to every household in the Volta region.
