Upper East FIFA standard pitch cost was $742K - Kurt Okraku

Kurt Okraku, the President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), announced a new pitch.

The GFA spent $742,000 through the FIFA Forward Programme.

This pitch is the first FIFA-standard pitch in Upper East.

The unveiling took place on Tuesday, April 15.

At the ceremony, the GFA also gave Nissan 4×4 pickups to eight Regional Football Associations.

This initiative supports regional football development, according to Okraku.

He noted that FIFA's office in Paris has been very helpful.

They support the GFA's efforts to strengthen Ghanaian football.

Okraku stated that now Upper East residents have access to a FIFA-certified pitch.

This pitch will host the first-ever GFE Elite Football Academy.

He addressed concerns about costs and confirmed it was $742,000.
