Ursula Foundation donates to Labone SHS

The Ursula Foundation has helped Labone Senior High School after a fire. The fire damaged the girls’ dormitory, displacing many students and destroying supplies.

In a show of support, the foundation donated essential relief items. The donation included 100 bags of rice, 100 plastic chairs, and 20 mattresses. It also included 50 bags of maize, 3 bags of gari, and 4 bags of beans.

Foundation members William Adu, Faustina Kisse, and Rita Appiah presented the items. They held a brief ceremony on the school’s campus. Members from the 1982 alumni year group also attended.

Mr. William Adu expressed the foundation's sorrow over the fire incident. He emphasized their commitment to support the school. “This school shaped our founder,” he said. “It is our responsibility to stand with it.”

Madam Rejoice Acolor, the headmistress, received the donation gratefully. She thanked everyone on behalf of management, staff, and students. “This support brings hope and comfort to affected students,” she noted.

Mr. Gabriel Annor, president of the 1982 year group, praised Mrs. Ursula Owusu for her generosity. He urged other alumni to follow her example in supporting the school.

The school community welcomed the donation with cheers and appreciation. Students and teachers gathered to witness this heartfelt presentation during a difficult time.
