Use bank guarantees to finance country’s nat’l budget  - Financial expert

Financial consultant Professor Dr. Frank Forbes-Mensah has proposed bank guarantees. He believes they can finance the country’s national budget effectively.

He stated that bank guarantees could help solve financial challenges. This approach would reduce reliance on the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Dr. Forbes-Mensah shared his ideas at a meeting in Accra. The Institute of Fiscal Studies (IFS) organized this event on Friday.

The discussion focused on Ghana's dependency on IMF programs. It also covered the revamping of Ghana International Bank (GIB) and IFS initiatives.
