“Useless Press Conference” – Omane Boamah slams Jean Mensa over nullified results

Dr. Edward Omane Boamah has launched a scathing critique of Electoral Commission (EC) Chairperson Jean Mensa, labeling her recent press conference as “useless” and accusing her of acting under the New Patriotic Party (NPP) influence to undermine the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary strength.

His outburst follows the EC’s nullification of results in Dome Kwabenya, Okaikwei Central, and Ablekuma North, citing procedural breaches and threats during collation.

Boamah accused the EC of avoiding accountability by ignoring NDC’s request for an emergency IPAC meeting, warning against pushing the party’s patience.

The NDC has rejected the re-collation process, asserting polling station results must stand.

With unresolved tensions, the EC faces mounting criticism over its handling of the election disputes.
