V/R: Suspect in gruesome murder of 5-year-old girl arrested

A man is suspected of killing a five-year-old girl in Sepenukope. Residents arrested him with help from a local security taskforce.

The suspect, Ahiable Yao David, was captured on May 23, 2025. This happened around 4:30 pm near a cassava farm in Gbugbla-Tokor.

The Action Now Security Group apprehended him in the Aflao enclave. A local resident recognized him as a wanted person and alerted others.

During questioning, the suspect admitted he had been avoiding arrest. He claimed to have taken refuge in a school in Ho. He said he returned to Aflao due to "spiritual attacks."

“I was having some attacks, that's why I came back,” he stated. After his arrest, community members handed him over to the Aflao Divisional Police Command.
