VEEP Prof Jane Naana back in town?

A netizen claims that Vice President Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang is back in Ghana.

The Pro-NDC page on X reported her return after recovery. The post read, “BREAKING: VICE PRESIDENT IS BACK ????”.

Professor Naana began a three-week medical break on April 7, 2025. This break followed medical advice from her doctor.

She was rushed to the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) on March 29, 2025. This happened after she fell ill suddenly on Friday night.

After initial treatment, experts advised her to seek further care abroad. A statement from Felix Kwakye Ofosu confirmed this update on March 30, 2025.

President John Dramani Mahama reassured Ghanaians about the Vice President's health. He said she is recovering and eager to serve again.

During the launch of a sanitary pad distribution initiative, he provided an update. He mentioned speaking with her and conveyed her greetings to everyone present.

“She is recuperating and catching a bit of rest,” he said. “She is very well and will soon join us.”
