Minister of Communications, Digital, Technology and Innovations, Sam Nartey George, faced intense scrutiny during his vetting. He appeared before the Parliamentary Appointments Committee for over five hours. Many questions focused on his controversial statements from his time in opposition. The Minority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, led much of the questioning.
In an interview with Bernard Avle on Channel One TV, Sam George said he was mentally prepared. He expected the probing questions and was not offended by them. "I didn’t take offence; I was prepared for it," he stated. He knew he would be a target for the Minority's questioning.
George expressed confidence in his performance during the vetting process. He believes he handled himself well under pressure.
