Majority Chief Whip and South Dayi MP, Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor, has expressed regret over the confusion that erupted during a recent parliamentary vetting session.
Speaking on April 3 to Channel One Newsroom, he described the incident as unfortunate and avoidable, offering a public apology.
Dafeamekpor stressed that Parliament has clear procedures for expressing disagreement, including walking out or boycotting decisions.
While acknowledging the disruption’s negative impact, he affirmed that the House has since moved forward, resuming cooperation on most issues.
He emphasized that collaboration between both sides of the chamber has been restored, with ongoing engagement on almost every matter before the House.
Reiterating his remorse, Dafeamekpor urged Ghanaians to focus on the institution’s progress rather than the setback, which he believes has been constructively addressed.
