Ghana's Vice President, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has spoken publicly for the first time since her recent medical care.
She was taken ill after work on Friday, March 28. The Vice President was admitted to the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) on Saturday, March 29.
In her statement, she addressed Ghana’s Muslim community for Eid Mubarak. She extended warm wishes to Muslims across the country and recognized their contributions to Ghana’s development.
“On this blessed occasion, I extend my warmest wishes to you and your families,” she said. “Your dedication, values, and contributions enrich our nation and the world. May this celebration bring you joy, peace, and renewed strength.”
Despite her health challenges, she expressed gratitude for the support she received. “Thank you to everyone for the kind sentiments and well wishes this weekend,” she added.
Details about her current health status are limited. However, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang reassured the public that she is in high spirits and appreciates their support during this time.
