Video – Cheddar’s bodyguard grabs man by the neck, punches him at Mamponghene’s funeral

A viral video shows the bodyguard of Nana Kwame Bediako, known as Cheddar, punching a man. This incident occurred at the funeral of Daasebre Osei Bonsu II, the Mamponghene. The burial took place on June 6, 2025.

In the video shared on X, Cheddar entered a house with his entourage. A mourner was standing near the gate when the altercation began. The bodyguard grabbed this man by the neck and punched him multiple times. The man fell to the ground after being hit.

It is unclear what started this physical confrontation. Many Ghanaians have reacted to the video online. One user commented that it looked like an agenda gone wrong but felt police involvement wasn't necessary.

Another user joked that this could be a life-changing story for the victim and suggested Cheddar might help him financially afterward. However, some believe this was assault and that legal action should be taken against the bodyguard.

One netizen called for Cheddar and his team to apologize publicly and for police action against the bodyguard.
