A resident of Techiman has criticized staff at Holy Family Hospital. He claims they left patients unattended because their shifts had ended.
The man stated that the staff members who were supposed to replace them were not present. He expressed concern about the disregard for patients and medical negligence.
In a viral video, he said, “Ghana Health Service staff left because their shift ended. Those replacing them are not in yet, and many sick people are waiting.”
Some Ghanaians reacted to the video. One person said, “Apart from Mampong Hospital and some in Kumasi, others are useless.” They noted that hospital staff often discuss Indian TV series while patients wait.
Another commenter shared their experience: “That place is an eyesore. It happens often.” A netizen added, “When you’re sick, you see who cares about you.”
Residents continue to call for accountability from health officials regarding this issue.
