NPP's Adenta Kumi Arrested by NIB Operatives

A video shows the arrest of Alfred Ababio Kumi, known as Adenta Kumi. He was taken into custody by National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) operatives on May 23, 2025.

Kumi is currently in NIB custody. The reason for his arrest is unclear. There has been no official update from the government regarding this matter.

Recently, Kumi petitioned President John Mahama. He requested the dissolution of a committee investigating the Chief Justice.

Kumi made allegations about the committee's chairman, Justice Pwamang. He claimed that Pwamang and Justice Yonni Kulendi dined with Thaddeus Sory on May 15, 2025. Sory represents a man seeking to remove the Chief Justice.

Kumi alleged they were overheard discussing matters related to his petition.
