Vincent Antwi Agyei confirmed as DCE for Sunyani Municipal Assembly

Vincent Antwi Agyei is the president’s nominee for the Sunyani Municipal Assembly. He received unanimous support yesterday. The assembly endorsed him with a 100 percent vote for his confirmation as Municipal Chief Executive.

All 49 delegates voted in favor of him. This included 34 Assembly members and 15 government appointees.

Earlier, the Assembly elected Abdul Razak Abdullai as the presiding member.

The Sunyani Municipal Assembly faced internal conflicts among its members. Because of this, they could not elect a presiding member for over a year. This situation rendered the assembly ineffective during that time.
