Ghanaian visa applicant Jonathan Cobbina has appealed to the U.S. Embassy in Accra to address the lack of available visa appointment dates for Non-Immigrant Visa (NIV) applicants.
He expressed concern over the anxiety and stress caused by the uncertainty, as applicants are unable to schedule appointments, with wait times exceeding 500 days.
Cobbina highlighted the impact on students, business professionals, and families, urging the embassy to provide clear communication on when appointments will resume.
He also suggested sharing the reasons for the pause to foster understanding and patience. Cobbina called for swift intervention to resolve the issue and ensure the continuation of strong diplomatic ties between Ghana and the U.S.
