Vivo Energy Ghana has appointed Mr. Christian Li as its new Managing Director. This follows the passing of the former Managing Director, Jean-Michel Arlandis.
Shirley Tony Kum, the corporate communications manager at Vivo Energy Ghana, announced this in a press release on April 1.
Mr. Li is a Mauritian citizen with nearly 30 years of experience. He specializes in general management, business development, and sales and marketing in the energy sector.
Throughout his career, Mr. Li has worked in over 20 African countries. He has held various leadership roles that contributed to business growth.
Since 2022, he was Head of International Business for Engen. In this role, he managed operations outside South Africa in several countries including the Democratic Republic of Congo and Namibia.
Before joining Vivo Energy Ghana, Mr. Li served as Managing Director for Engen Namibia for four years. He was recognized as one of the top 10 executives for three consecutive years.
His earlier career included significant leadership positions in South Africa and Mauritius. He also worked with Chevron for nearly eight years before moving to Engen Mauritius in 20
