Jerry Yao Ameko, the Adaklu District Chief Executive (DCE), has made a commitment. He pledged that DCEs in the Volta Region will lead initiatives to uplift the area. “We will promote economic growth with integrity and humility,” he stated.
Ameko spoke during an interview with the Ghana News Agency on May 3. This was after the swearing-in ceremony for Volta Regional DCEs. The ceremony was conducted by Volta Regional Minister James Gunu at the Residency in Ho. During this event, Ameko was elected as the Dean of Volta DCEs.
After his election, Ameko emphasized their commitment to accountability and transparency. He highlighted the need for collaboration among all stakeholders for sustainable development. “I urge us to move forward united in vision and action,” he said. He wants to leave a legacy of progress for future generations.
Ameko expressed gratitude for his colleagues' trust in him. He felt humbled by their confidence and promised to serve with dedication and unity. His election reflects their shared goal of helping the region thrive through effective leadership.
