Volta Region DCEs to champion initiatives to uplift the region

The Adaklu District Chief Executive (DCE), Jerry Yao Ameko, made a pledge on Friday. He promised that DCEs in the Volta Region will support initiatives to uplift the area. Their goal is to build resilient communities.

“We pledge to promote economic growth with integrity and humility,” he stated.

Mr. Ameko spoke during an interview with the Ghana News Agency. This was after the swearing-in ceremony of Volta DCEs by Mr. James Gunu, the Volta Regional Minister. The event took place at the Residency in Ho.

During the ceremony, Mr. Ameko was elected as the Dean of Volta DCEs. He also emphasized their commitment to accountability, transparency, and service.

He called on all stakeholders to collaborate closely. This teamwork is essential for sustainable development and inclusive governance.

“I urge everyone to move forward united in vision and action,” he said. “We must commit to leaving a legacy of progress for future generations.”

“Together we can make this region a model of excellence and opportunities,” he added.

Mr. Ameko expressed gratitude for his colleagues' trust in him. He pledged to serve with dedication, humility, unity, and purpose.

He noted that his election reflects their shared desire for effective leadership and collaboration in serving the region.
