The Director of Operations at the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), Engineer Emmanuel Tetteh Akini, has reported stable power supply in the Volta Region.
He spoke on Joy FM’s Super Morning Show on Monday, May 5. Engineer Akini noted that Accra and other regions face low voltage and outages, known as dumsor. However, the Volta Region has seen improvements in electricity distribution.
He explained that some individuals may experience low voltage issues. These are likely localized problems. Overall, the voltages in the Volta Region are now within acceptable limits.
Engineer Akini mentioned that GRIDCo and ECG recently conducted maintenance work in Volta and North Volta areas. He assured residents that ECG is committed to providing reliable service.
He encouraged residents to report any issues promptly for quick resolution. If someone complains about low voltage, they will investigate further to identify local issues.
His comments come as parts of Accra and other areas struggle with power outages due to system instability and low voltage.
