Volta region explores KOICA partnership for modern agribusiness project in Adaklu

The Volta Regional Coordinating Council (VRCC) is led by Minister James Gunu. They recently held talks with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC). The goal is to create a modern vegetable production farmhouse complex in the Adaklu District.

This initiative aims to promote Local Economic Development. It also seeks to strengthen the agribusiness value chain in the Volta Region.

Minister Gunu expressed optimism about this partnership. He called it a significant step for agriculture in the region. He noted that agriculture is vital for the local economy. This project could boost productivity, create jobs, and improve livelihoods.

The meeting included technical experts and regional stakeholders. Participants included directors from Agriculture, Feeder Roads, and Trade sectors. They discussed how to make this farmhouse complex a model facility for vegetable production.

The complex will use modern technology to enhance yield and sustainability. It aims to create opportunities for youth and women in agribusiness.

Mr. Gunu praised KOICA's support for local development. He also thanked NDPC for facilitating these discussions. He hopes this collaboration will transform agriculture into an economic driver.

He stated that they are committed to building productive partnerships. These efforts aim to advance development priorities and empower people.
