W/R: Nearly 3k hectares of land destroyed by galamsey - Forestry Commission

Nana Poku Bosompim is the Western Regional Manager of the Ghana Forestry Commission. He recently reported that illegal mining has affected nearly 3,000 hectares of land in Takoradi.

This information came after a raid on an illegal mining settlement. The settlement was located in one of the region's forest reserves.

Bosompim confirmed that the illegal miners have significantly impacted the forest reserve. He shared this update during an interview on JoyNews’ The Pulse.
