Mrs. Judith Adjoba Blay shook hands with Awuale Attibrukusu III, Omanhene of Lower Axim. Dr. Robert Kofi Lartey, Deputy CEO, looked on.
The Acting CEO of Ghana National Gas Company Limited (GNGCL) promised fair social investment for the Western Region. She emphasized that while Ghana Gas is a national asset, its location in the Western Region matters. Therefore, it is only fair for the host region to benefit from these projects.
She spoke to members of the Western Regional House of Chiefs (WRHC) in Sekondi. Accompanied by her deputy and other management members, she assured the chiefs of more local employment for Ghana Gas Plant 2 (GGP 2).
Mrs. Adjoba Blay also committed to strengthening ties between the Gas Company and local chiefs. She plans to meet with them every six months to discuss company developments.
She thanked the president for her appointment and support from regional leaders. Mrs. Adjoba Blay believes her competence and local roots contributed to her selection.
Awulae Atibrukusu III advised Dr. Lartey to support Mrs. Adjoba Blay wholeheartedly for success. Earlier, Nana Kobina Nketsiah V noted that the Western Region should be a hub for oil and gas activities. However, most companies are headquartered in Accra instead of the Western Region.
