The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has dismissed reports claiming it plans to relocate its headquarters from Ghana to Nigeria.
Recent media speculation suggested financial difficulties due to the Ghanaian government's debt to WAEC could force the move.
However, WAEC’s Head of Public Relations, John Kapi, has clarified that no such discussions have taken place. He emphasized that the law establishing WAEC mandates its headquarters remain in Accra, and there have been no changes to this arrangement.
Kapi firmly refuted the relocation rumors, confirming there are no plans to move the headquarters.
