WAEC releases 2024 WASSCE private candidates results

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the provisional results for the 2024 WASSCE for Private Candidates, Second Series.

Out of 38,316 registered candidates, 1,354 were absent.

WAEC detected malpractice, leading to the withholding of results for 303 candidates and the cancellation of 108.

Performance in core subjects:

- English: 54.79% (A1-C6), 13.45% (F9)

- Mathematics: 37.44% (A1-C6), 37.42% (F9)

- Science: 53.31% (A1-C6), 18.46% (F9)

- Social Studies: 87.88% (A1-C6), 5.76% (F9)
