WAEC releases 2024 WASSCE results after delay

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced the release of provisional results for the 2024 West African Senior High School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

The delay, attributed to unpaid government funds, was resolved after recent payments.

WAEC’s Head of Public Affairs, John K. Kapi, confirmed that school heads will receive login details to access results online and cautioned the public against scammers offering fake results upgrades.

On malpractices, WAEC canceled subject results for 4,108 candidates, annulled entire results for 483, and withheld results for 990 candidates pending investigations.

The council reassured the public of appropriate measures to address ongoing cases.
